Don Kruse September 11, 1932 - June 4, 2008 (age75)








DONALD C. KRUSE SEPT. 1, 1932 - JUNE 4, 2008 As a young man he enjoyed being on the farm with his grandparents. Served in the Air force during the Korean War. Attended Fort Hays State Teachers College and Gonzaga University. Worked at Old national Bank in Spokane, Washington and Community Bank, San Jose, California. Previous owner of Terry's Touch of Gold.

He attended First Baptist Church of Modesto, California. After retirement enjoyed many MJC exchange students who lived in his home and many who visited and called him Pop''; also all of the little children cared for in the home, watching them grow and learn. He enjoyed his family holidays and food.

Proceded him in death his parents, Carl Kruse and Melba Kruse; siblings, Jim Kruse, Nancy Doop; a son, Carl Kruse and an infant daughter.

Don is survived by wife, Isla Kruse; daughter, Dona Hodgins; son, Bill Kruse and wife, Karinna Kruse; sister, Dolores Kelly; sister in law, Jenie Kruse; Grandchildren: Kevin Wallace, Chad Mahu and Dana Mahu, April Kruse, Mircea Dumitru, and Tony Kruse; great grand children: Kayla Wallace, Payton Mahu, David Wallace, Daniel Wallace and many nieces and nephews. We will always remember his love for us and his deep voice and laughter. Military service will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. www.modbee.com/obituaries
